Pooch Masseuse Bio
Robin Geller-Caristo, the Pooch Masseuse, studied canine sports massage therapy under the Equissage and Annissage programs.
She belongs to the International Association of Animal Massage and Bodywork (IAAMB).
Their mission is providing massage and bodywork to animals through the use of knowledge and compassionate touch for the purpose of creating physiological and psychological balance and soundness.
She owns two Border Collies, (Roxy, who turns 10 and Scout (a blue merle) who turns 5 this year) who she competes with bothin the sport of canine agility. Roxy and Scout are her biggest fans of canine massage!
Robin works with a Greyhound Rescue Group and has provided her massage service at a number of their events. Robin has volunteered at a local animal shelter where she assisted in behavioral testing and provided massage therapy on adoptable dogs. Robin also partipcates in town fairs and walks that specifically focus on dogs.
Robin has been in the harness horse business for over 18 years with her husband Sal racing horses at Meadowlands, Freehold Raceway, Yonkers Raceway, Pocono Downs, and Harrah's Chester Raceway. Robin has been handling, racing and riding horses during this time. She currently owns a 30+ year old Quarter horse, Sierra, who she cares for, rides weekly and massages. |
